Gretchen McClain
President & CEO, Xylem Inc.

At Xylem, we are united in our focus to be the leading global provider of efficient and sustainable water technologies and applications. We will meet the most critical water challenges head on by engineering products that create efficient systems and sustainable solutions. Put simply, Xylem is working to “solve water.”

We know that water is an issue that needs solving. While water is at the center of our business, it’s also one of the most urgent challenges facing our world today. More than 2.5 billion people lack access to clean water and sanitation, and the crisis is especially dire in the developing world.

Xylem is bringing our solution-oriented and enterprising spirit to make our mark on the global water crisis through our corporate citizenship and social investment strategy, Xylem Watermark.

Xylem is proud to now own the Watermark program, which began in 2008 at ITT. Created to provide and protect safe water resources for people in need, Watermark will reach one million people by 2013 with water and sanitation solutions. Watermark will provide clean water solutions to schools and communities in partnership with Water For People, and we will deliver clean water following disasters through our partnership with Mercy Corps. Watermark is also expanding to include disaster risk reduction, supporting projects that safeguard water sources in vulnerable communities before disaster strikes.

While Xylem is committed to making a difference through Watermark, solving the global water crisis will take collaboration. I invite you to join us in supporting Watermark, whether you’re a Xylem employee or customer, or simply passionate about water. Let’s solve water, together. Visit the “Make Your Mark” section of the Xylem Watermark website to find out how you can get involved.

Thank you for your support.
